US Navy Blows Up Shit

Seems the Navy has developed a railgun firing system that pretty much ruins anyone's day that's on the receiving end. Turns out it breaks records, as well as anything else near it.
In the demonstration Thursday, engineers fired the electromagnetic railgun at what they said was a record power level: 10 megajoules. The previous railgun power-use record was about 9 megajoules of muzzle energy.
